Firends,Let's review Approach, Method, and Technique

In MA sessions we use a lot theses words even if we sometimes are not clear with the exact meaning of them. therefore I am trying to give you an obvious definition for each of them.

what is Approach?

Theoritically well-informed positions and beliefs about the nature of language, the nature of language learning, and the applicability of both of pedagogical settings.

What is Method?

A generalized set of classroom specifications for acomplishing liguistic objectives. Methods tend to be concerned primarily with teacher and student roles and behaviours and secondary with such feachers as linguistic and subject-matter objectives, sequencing, and materials. They are almost always thought of as being broadly applicable to a variety of audiences in a variety of contexts.

What is Curriculum or Syllabus?

Designs for carring out a particular language program. Features include a primary concern with the specification of linguistic and subject-matter objectives, sequencing, and materials to meet the needs of a designated group of learners in a defined context. (The term "Syllabus" is usually used in the UK to refer to what is called a"Curriculum" in the USA.

What is Technique?

Any of a wide variety of execises, activities, or tasks used in the language classroom for realizing lesson objectives.
